Car Park Notice
As of 7.30pm tonight, Thursday 20th of December 2018, access to the carpark at Old Station Surgery will be restricted to surgery opening times only, and a car park gate will be locked at all other times.
Following a recent burglary, for a short period of time we were only able to provide emergency services at the surgery, which proved to be very disruptive for patients. The new gate has been fitted to reduce the risk of this happening again, and to enable us to continue to deliver a high level of service to our patients and their families.
The gate will be open between 7.30am and 7.30pm Monday – Friday (excluding bank holidays) to allow access to patients visiting the surgery. The gate will be locked at all other times, including weekends and bank holidays.
There will also be no access to vehicles or pedestrians during these times.
We realise that this will cause an inconvenience to some patients who post their repeat prescription at the surgery during the weekends or early in the morning (before work etc). We hope that you agree however, that it is even more inconvenient when the surgery can’t operate as normal or process prescriptions due to burglaries etc. Patients are able to request repeat prescriptions online or via a local pharmacy. Please contact the surgery for further information.
If you have parked at the surgery but have been advised by a clinician not to drive, please arrange for your car to be collected during the next working day.
If a car is left in the car park after closing time, no attempt will be made to locate the owner and the gates will be locked as normal.
Under no circumstance will the gates be opened outside of normal working hours.
May we take this opportunity to remind patients that the surgery carpark is only to be used by patients who are visiting the surgery, and is to be used at your own risk.
Thank you for your co-operation,
Old Station Surgery
