Speak to your GP

If you are feeling out of control emotionally, or are worried that you may have a mental health problem, you can speak to your GP.

Your doctor can:

  • talk to you about your problems
  • check whether your symptoms may have a physical cause
  • discuss medication for depression, anxiety or other conditions
  • refer you to an appropriate service

You can ask the receptionist for a longer appointment if you feel you need more time to talk through your concerns.
