Appointments

Appointment Calendar

Our patients can now contact us via eConsult to make an appointment or administrative request, this can be accessed on the opening page of this website.

Routine and urgent appointments can be made by telephone and at the reception desk.  Every effort will be made for you to be seen by a Doctor of your choice at a time that is convenient to you.

Patients are given a choice of a telephone or face to face appointment.

Surgery times – Morning 8.30 – 12.30  Afternoon 14.30 – 17.30

Our trained Patient Assistants will ask you a few questions to assist the Doctor or Advanced Nurse Practitioner in dealing with your request in the most appropriate way.

If you prefer, you can direct your query to the Doctor or Advanced Nurse Practitioner of your choice, as long as they are working that day.  Please note this may vary from week to week (see below).

Minor Illness

We operate a Minor Illness system with a Practice Nurse for same day emergency appointments. If you feel you must be seen immediately please telephone the surgery and a member of the reception team will assist you.

If you are making an appointment and you haven’t seen the doctor for a while please check the UK Government website.

You have a right to express a preference to receive services from a practitioner of your choice. For more details please check the Government legislation for Wales.

Failure to attend appointments Policy

Please note – Due to an increase in the number of wasted appointments through patients failing to attend appointments without informing the surgery it has become necessary to implement the following procedure:

If you repeatedly fail to attend appointments you may be removed from this practice list and required to find an alternative Doctor. Nurse and certain clinic appointments can be booked in advance so if you cannot attend your appointment for any reason please let us know as soon as possible, giving at least 24 hours notice. We can then offer the appointment to someone else.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Home Visits

Home visits are for patients who are too ill to attend the surgery, not for people who have difficulties with transport. Please ring before 10.00am because this helps the doctors to organise their working time.
