We are pleased to announce that from the 19th March 2018, we are moving to a new appointment system.
We are moving to this new system to improve access to medical care for our patients. We hope you will find it easier to see or talk to the GP of your choice and at a time convenient for you.
Some of your queries might be dealt with over the phone and those patients who need a face-to-face appointment being seen on the day that they contact us.
How to use the new system.
You can call reception or speak to a Patient Assistant at the reception desk in the surgery.
- Our trained patients assistants will ask you a few questions to assist the doctor in dealing with your request in the most appropriate way.
- The patient assistant with either arrange a face-to-face appointment, a telephone consultation or deal with your request with the information you provided.
- If you like, you can direct your query to the doctor of your choice, as long as they are working that day. Please not this may vary from week to week (see below).
- You are always offered an appointment to see one of our GPs on the same day, there is no need to book in advance.

You have a right to express a preference to receive services from a practitioner of your choice. For more details please check this link:
Failure to attend appointments Policy
Please note – Due to an increase in the number of wasted appointments through patients failing to attend appointments without informing the surgery it has become necessary to implement the following procedure:
If you repeatedly fail to attend appointments you may be removed from this practice list and required to find an alternative Doctor. If you cannot attend your appointments for any reason please let us know as soon as possible, giving at least 24 hours notice. We can then offer the appointment to someone else.
Thank you for your co-operation.
Home visits are for patients who are too ill to attend the surgery, not for people who have difficulties with transport. Please ring before 10.00am because this helps the doctors to organise their working time.
